WebDrawn / Discovery / 3 minute read
Content is easier to interpret when each section gives a clear answer, names the subject, and includes enough context to stand on its own. Those qualities help human readers as well as automated systems.
Key points for AI search content
- Use descriptive headings that identify a real customer question or topic.
- State the answer first, then add relevant explanation and evidence.
- Keep established SEO foundations in place; clear formatting cannot guarantee an AI citation.
Clarity is the starting point.
GEO, or generative engine optimization, is a term used for work aimed at AI-assisted discovery. A practical starting point is the same one that serves a human reader: explain the business clearly, organize its solutions logically, and answer relevant questions with substance.
Keep the foundations sound.
Google’s guidance for its AI search features says existing SEO practices remain relevant. It does not require special AI markup or a new machine-readable file. Pages still need to be accessible and eligible for search, and any structured data should accurately reflect the information on the page.
Make the relationships useful.
A service page can link to an explanation of its process, a relevant example, and answers to common questions. Each connection should help someone understand the subject more fully. Descriptive headings and concise answers make that structure easier to follow.
Keep names, service descriptions, and contact details consistent. Where expertise matters, explain who is responsible for the information and provide evidence for factual claims. An FAQ should answer genuine questions rather than repeat a sales message in question form.
How to divide content into useful chunks
Give each section one job. A service page might explain what the service is, who it helps, what is included, and how to get started. Keep the answer beside its heading, and use lists for steps or comparable items.
For example, “What does responsive web design include?” gives a passage a clearer subject than “More possibilities.” A useful answer names the layouts, navigation, and forms involved before linking to fuller detail. Keep necessary qualifications with the answer so a short excerpt remains accurate.
Measure without making promises.
Search platforms control what they index, display, and cite. Clearer information can support discovery, but it cannot guarantee a mention in an AI answer. Treat specific placement claims with caution and evaluate improvements alongside useful business outcomes.
For WebDrawn, the work is concrete: clarify the offer, improve the content, connect relevant pages, and keep the technical structure accessible.
